The Brief
The plan was a contemporary kitchen with a simple design with lots of functionality and storage. The clients wanted a breakfast bar and wall units in vintage oak and the cabinetry in a dark grey. A bora hob with induction and a tall unit with built-in ovens and fridge freezer. They liked the idea of keeping things simple, whilst using beautiful materials to enhance the light and airy feel of the space.
The Design
The space lent itself to a classic u shaped design with the sink under the window. To the left of the Bora hob is a bank housing the fridge freezer and ovens, which was to create a neat space. The cabinetry is grey and the breakfast bar and wall units are vintage oak which really brings warmth and colour to the room. The room is an open-plan design with a dining table and a door leading to the utility. Under the worktops are mainly drawers to give the maximum amount of usable storage. When designing a simple design kitchen adding different colours and textures gives a wow factor to the kitchen.
How it worked out
This kitchen was a simple design with great functionality it worked out beautifully. The use of such varied finishes and textures creates an organic feel to the space. The kitchen is beautifully designed and installed and is made with high-end timeless materials.
